Path Of The Dead - Pencils

The finished pencils for my next piece adjusted in Photoshop so it wouldn't look so dirty. I'm pretty happy with it so far but would like to hear your suggestions about any errors I can still fix before inking.

At this point I realize its difficult to tell the Torlion Skorn apart from his opponent the Jungle Kracken but I should still be able to adjust that during the inking and coloring phases.

Initially I had thought the silhouettes in the back should have just been traditional zombies in shape but changed my mind half way through. Now it has more of a unique gallery of rogues feel to it. Their vastly differing shapes provide more wonder as to what each ones back story is and what their methods are for catching their favorite prey.

Jungle Kracken are massive enough to uproot acres of forest at a time. Unlike the more traditional monsters of the Forest Evermore that prefer to feed on vegetation or flesh, these abominations feed primarily on ghost. They inject a radioactive glowing ink into their living prey that attracts specters and phantoms to posses their inevitable corpse. The kracken will then siphon their paranormal energies from the environment over a period of years.

Those possessed by the ghost more often than not become uniquely lethal forms of undead that are prized by the Lich as use for elite soldiers but are almost impossible to dominate under their will. It can take months to attempt such a capture and its made all the more impossible once one realized they will have to venture into the Kracken's hunting grounds to do so.
