Undead - 15 - Regenerator

One of the bigger problems with using undead as the mainstay of your military is that they are largely incapable of mending their own wounds one battle to the next. This weakness imposes a shelf-life upon even the best of undead units, allowing them to be useful for only a very limited number of battles before their soldiers are literally falling apart at the seams. Much research has gone into fighting this weakness and has lead to the development of many new kinds of undead capable of regenerating damage over time.

This research is directly supported by the Lich who have adapted many of the techniques developed originally for the battlefield toward the healing of their own decaying bodies. One can only get so far on pure theory though, fresh remains of creatures with naturally intense healing factors are in great demand by the Necromancers for study.

Such creatures could range from Werewolves, Torlions, Dragonkin, and even Fishbears. Unfortunately for the Necromancers (Luckily for every one else) creatures of that caliber are not often found in a fresh state of death and trying to force them into such a state is even more difficult. Even so, once resurrected as combative undead such creatures often prove to be so feral that they cannot be easily controlled, often breaking free of their masters control. Attempts to use Vampires as research material has proven futile. They cannot be resurrected after death, though may still prove useful when used as parts to be integrated into other forms of undead.

The most well known regenerating undead created so far has been the Torlion Skorn. He has ingeniously succeeded in escaping his master's control time and again.
