Spiranesh, one of the ten legendary beast said to have survived the Fall of the Pioneering age. A dark time of turmoil and chaos where cruelty and insanity roamed unchecked. The proud Spiranesh' is ranked third among his surviving siblings. One of seven children who gave up their human bodies for the power to extinguish the ever growing threat of the Lich Anubis.
As a child Spiranesh was always a sort of lone wolf. He crusaded against injustice and corruption wherever he could find it. Prizing the freedom of solitude over familial obligations Spiranesh withdrew to the fathomless seas soon after becoming the infinite serpent. A title given to him by the terrified Smugglers and Pirates that cast their lot in with the "Inner Council" of the dead. Those black hearted demons who sold their souls for eternal life.
The only ship Spiranesh has ever failed to sink was the Black Rose. An ancient War Frame commanded by the Lich Barrow. An impossibly dangerous being who wields the weather with the fluidity of a sword dancer. Spiranesh still bears a painful scar from their last encounter. Thanks to his efforts the "Inner Council" still struggles to maintain a hold of their sea routes.
No one knows what the full length of Spiranesh' body is. He has been seen stretching as deep as a mile inland with the bulk of his mass still being in the sea. It is said he is the only one of the legendary 10 capable of surviving decapitation. His younger sister, Tephris, once mentioned that his entire head was blown off in a fight they lost against the Lunar Octopus. Thanks to his intense length he was able to completely regenerate the wound; so goes the legend. It's believed that his original head still wanders the seas preying on fishing boats as a mindless beast. The event did nothing to improve his rather antisocial tendencies.
